Frequently asked questions
Starting therapy comes with many questions, and we’re here to provide the clarity and guidance you need.
A range of therapy services, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. Please reach out to discuss your specific needs and you will be matched with the most suitable approach.
Therapy can be helpful for anyone facing challenges, such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or grief. If you’re unsure, we encourage you to schedule an initial complimentary consultation that will take 15-minutes where we can discuss your concerns and explore how therapy can support you. This consultation can be by phone or virtually.
During your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other. You’ll have the opportunity to share your background, current struggles, and what you’re hoping to achieve in therapy. We’ll also discuss the therapy process, confidentiality, and any other questions you may have.
Many insurance plans are accepted. Please contact me to verify whether ARC Counseling is in-network with your insurance provider. If ARC is not in-network, we can provide you with a Superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
The frequency of therapy sessions depends on your individual goals and preferences. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions, while others may prefer bi-weekly or monthly appointments. We’ll work together to determine the best schedule for you.
Yes, everything you share in therapy is kept confidential, with a few exceptions that we will discuss with you. These exceptions may include situations involving harm to yourself or others, or if required by law.
Teletherapy (virtual therapy) is available for clients who are located outside of our office area or who prefer the convenience of remote sessions. Please contact me to inquire about teletherapy availability.
You can schedule an appointment by calling or using our online booking system.
The duration of therapy varies from person to person. Some individuals may only need a few sessions to address a specific issue, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy. We’ll discuss your progress together to determine the best course of action.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so at least 48 hours notice. This allows me to accommodate other clients and avoid cancellation fees.
